Thank you for your fantastic support this morning at the coffee morning. It all went off really well and it was great to see such a good crowd in the staff room. The total raised for Macmillan Cancer Support came to £270.02. In their literature, Macmillan quotes the following figures:
- £51 could buy a liquidiser for someone who can't eat solid food as a result of their cancer or treatment.
- £156 could run their CancerLine for an hour, providing 13 people affected by cancer with essential information, practical and emotional support.
- £200 could enable a person living with cancer to leave their heating on when they really need to.
Just some examples of what the money will go towards.
